Focussing on the user experience, The Workshop Co helped the crew over at Lost Surfboards to design and develop a website that was clean and easy to use, while maintaining the aesthetics of the brand.
lost surfboards australia website design

Lost Surfboards in Australia operates out of the Gold Coast, an iconic surf spot known around the world. Lost maintains the highest quality and professional craftsmanship with Matt Biolos and only the best surfboard shapers in the business.

We were given a brief to create an updated website that was clean and easy to navigate [unlike their previous site], but had a messy ‘punk’ feel as an ode to Lost surfboards heritage.

The Workshop Co began by utilising large fluid imagery to showcase the amazing imagery from the brand.

Key text offsetting was implemented with custom ‘offset sliders’ to give that messy [but clean] feeling. This was coupled with a transparent floating nav to give some depth and layering.

With over 76% of traffic coming via mobile the site was optimised and designed mobile first.

Surfboard variant messaging was also added as a key feature to update customers on how long each specific board would take to shape and deliver.
